Why Micro Homestead?

I started my micro homestead as a way to take control of my family’s health, finances, and overall well-being. Growing my own food allows me to save money on groceries while ensuring that the produce we eat is fresh, organic, and free from harmful chemicals. Knowing exactly where our food comes from gives me peace of mind, and the process of cultivating our own fruits, vegetables, and herbs has had a positive impact on our health. Beyond the practical benefits, there’s an incredible sense of accomplishment that comes with turning a small space into a thriving, sustainable source of nourishment. Every harvest, no matter how small, is a reminder that self-sufficiency is possible—even on a tiny scale.

I started FrugalByNature.com to document my journey from a regular suburban home to a full-fledged micro homestead, sharing everything I learn along the way. My goal is to show that no space is too small to grow your own food and that anyone can take steps toward self-sufficiency, no matter their circumstances. Through my successes, mistakes, and discoveries, I hope to inspire and empower others to embrace micro homesteading, whether they have a backyard, a balcony, or just a sunny windowsill. If I can do it, so can you!
