The Birth Of A Blog
Frugalbynature.com began on my mobile phone almost by fluke. As a home educating mum of two and I’d been manifesting a way to be my own boss and build an online business doing what I love; helping others live more naturally.
That’s when I stumbled across Wealthy Affiliate; a comprehensive online platform which teaches affiliate marketing and website development. It’s been a fantastic resource and this website is the product of my ongoing training there.
I dedicate my free time to training and developing this website (usually at night on my phone) and enjoy -almost- every minute of it.
Fancy building an online business and becoming your own boss? You can take steps towards exactly that today.
The Back Story: Why We Banished Toxins
The essence of this blog is born out of a raw passion for natural health after experiencing how removing everyday toxins from our lives and harnessing the power of nature has changed my family’s life.
About three years ago my husband was diagnosed with skin failure due to an underlying rare skin condition. With modern medicine not doing him any favours and causing more problems than solutions, we decided to jack it in. After hours research and armed with little more than shea butter, carrier and essential oils and a makeshift double boiler; I began to make my creams in hope of easing my husband’s skin complaints.
We cleaned up our diets and binned all our personal ‘care’ and cleaning products in favour of homemade natural alternatives. We took a holistic approach, it wasn’t an overnight fix and some things took getting used too (oil pulling anyone?). There were much trial and error but within months the difference was quite remarkable.
We continued and as my husband got better our friends wanted to learn how we’d done it. I began sharing the knowledge and continue to do so, just now my audience is worldwide. These days my husband is doing much better and his skin is pretty awesome. In fact, my children and I are in pretty good health so it was well worth it and I’m never looking back. By leveraging the World Wide Web it’s my intention to share with like-minded souls who are seeking a more natural lifestyle, regardless of where you may reside, I want to connect and share with you.
About Me – When I’m Offline
I currently reside in not so glamorous East Midlands, England where I’ve been 11 years. I’ve completed some nurse training and spent time studying science (forensic). I am self-taught in natural medicine, foraging and wild food and do not claim to be an expert in any field, nor am I a medical professional. Just putting that out there!
Currently, we’re working on renovating our 27 year old caravan Taylor Swift who is a Challenger but amazingly hasn’t present us with any challenges thus far. We plan to travel the country sharing natural lifestyle and health, drumming and woodland activities with others. Perhaps we’ll see you on the road!
Got a question? I encourage you to reach out to me, I don’t bite, not often anyway. If you wanna get in touch feel free to leave a comment below or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org I’ll do my best to help you out.
